North West Simon Community has announced details of a Charity Bike Ride which will take place on Sunday, September 17th.

Registration will begin at 11 am at Mullen’s Spar and Service Station Bundoran Road, Sligo, with Stands-Up at 12 Midday.

The motorbikes will visit all three counties in the North West region, travelling through Carrick-On- Shannon, Manorhamilton, Bundoran, Ballyshannon, Donegal Town, Cliffoney, and Grange before returning to Mullen’s Spar, in Sligo.

Noel Daly, CEO of North West Simon Community explained that the Charity Bike Ride is just one element of our Summer Appeal for 2023.

“North West Simon Community needs to raise at least €200,000 through public fundraising in 2023. This funding will allow us to continue our support to people at risk or experiencing homelessness in the region. We hope that as many people as possible will support this Charity Bike Ride and help North West Simon Community continue our work to prevent and resolve homelessness in the North West region”.

We need ongoing financial support from the people of the North West to assist individuals and families experiencing or at risk of homelessness.

Ciaran Mullen the owner of the SPAR convenience store and service station at Bundoran Road, Sligo, has kindly offered to provide complimentary tea, coffee, and cakes to all participants in the Charity Bike Ride, during the registration period.

Ciaran says that “as homelessness can happen anywhere in the North West, he hopes when people see the Charity Bike Ride travelling through Sligo, Leitrim, and Donegal, they will consider supporting this very worthy cause”.
